Weekly activities for babies and toddlers

Thanks to funding from the Communities Health and Wellbeing fund we are able to offer some additional weekly activities for families with children between 0 and 3 years old.

Regular Sessions

Baby and Toddler Group

These informal weekly sessions are a great way for you and your baby or toddler to get together and meet new friends. A range of toys, books. and puzzles are available to suit a wide range of ages. Free coffee, teas, biscuits and snacks are also available. The group meets at the Hive on Mondays from 9.15am to 11.15am. All welcome! £3.50 entrance (cash or contactless).

Baby Massage

Baby massage is a lovely way to strengthen the bond between you and your baby. It can also help to soothe and relax babies, and some parents say it helps their baby sleep and eases tummy problems.

Our baby massage course consists of 5 weekly sessions, in small groups. You will learn and practise safe massage strokes on your baby in a relaxed atmosphere. We will also combine the massage with some simple songs and rhymes.

The sessions are open to parents and carers with babies from 6 weeks to crawling. If you are unsure if the course is suitable, please get in touch.

The cost of a week course is £25, which can be paid by cash or card at the Hive on or before the first session.

Places are limited and need to be pre-booked. To find out about our next course and to book your place, please email Helen Hudd: helen@dollarcdt.com.

Mini Music Makers

Fridays in the Hive – 10.30am

Music has an extremely positive effect on a child’s development. Our sessions for babies and toddlers use singing, movement and play to support cognitive, language and motor skills. The emphasis is on fun: tickling games, bouncing songs and lullabies which bring music to life. Our weekly 40-minute classes provide you and your child the opportunity to make and enjoy music together in a fun and friendly setting. These playful sessions are an engaging introduction to music and provide quality time between parent and child that is so precious in today’s busy world.
