Background Summary to Active Dollar
The long-term health and well-being of Dollar residents is a priority for Dollar Community Development Trust. At the 2022 AGM in November Stephen Roe Chair DCDT announced that Kenny Mitchell would lead a new action group called Active Dollar.
We would like you to know more about Active Dollar which will launch during 2023 and an update on the Devon Way Sports Park which is integral to the Active Dollar project. This page is an introduction.

The Devon Way Sports Park – No. 1 Impact Project
In late Autumn 2022 we established that the community’s ideas and desire for sports and activity for all ages and abilities is compatible with the delivery model of the sportscotland Community Sports Hub, a policy that is now open to support for small settlements. If we fully implement this concept we will be building a new vision for sport and activity in our community
What is the ACTIVE Dollar Vision and Mission?
VISION: With COLLABORATION between existing and new PROVIDERS, the community will have access to a Coordinated Sport and Activity Programme for PARTICIPANTS of ALL AGES and ABILITIES
MISSION: At any stage of their life, everyone living in Dollar can participate in at least three sports or activity
Implementation will need the involvement of the existing clubs and enablers of sport and activity. We will also plan:
· to maintain collaboration with existing and new Stakeholders like Dollar Academy
· acquire and maintain new facilities like the Devon Way Sports Park
· foster sufficient sports leadership capacity to meet new demand
Proposed Structure
This is the typical Community Sports Hub structure which we have adapted to the needs of the people of Dollar
