Caring, Connected Dollar

Our Caring, Connected Dollar activity is all about ensuring everyone in our community feels supported and included. We work with local partners and volunteers to provide a range of services including our Volunteer Driver Service, community library,  and activities supporting new parents.

Our Community Connectors – Shirley Bwye and Fiona Hogg – are helping us to develop our local directory of services to make it easier for you to find sources of information, support and advice – see below for more details!

In the meantime – below is some information on what is currently available in Dollar.

Digital Buddies project: we were lucky enough to get some funding from the local Ideas, Improvement and Innovation fund to pay for some iPads and Alexa’s along with some remote MiFi devices to lend out to help those who don’t have one already and are unsure about whether or not they would like one . You can borrow the devices to see if you like having one, one of our Digital Buddies will help you set it up and get used to using it, and if you would like one of your own we can help you to buy one. If you don’t like it, you can just give it back – no questions asked!
