The Dollar Volunteer Driver Service is a small group of your local neighbours in Dollar who aim to make life a little bit easier for those without access to transport.
The volunteers offer lifts to help with everyday trips, such as to the shops, the health centre, the library, or further afield if necessary including local hospitals.
The Volunteer Driver Service is supported by Dollar Community Development Trust and we welcome donations to ensure we can continue to provide this and other local services. Your driver will give you an envelope for cash or cheque donations.
To enquire about a lift, please follow these steps:
- Phone us on 0756 571 2131 at any time and leave a message with your name, number, address and details of your journey.
- We will call you back to discuss your request. Please give as much notice as possible.
- If a driver is available, they will contact you to arrange a pick-up time. You will also be given a contact number for your driver.
- Your driver will collect you from your home, drive you to your destination and bring you back home.
- If you have mobility or other support needs, please bring a carer, friend or relative (over 18)
