The Dollar Volunteer Driver Service is a small group of your local neighbours in Dollar who aim to make life a little bit easier for those without access to transport.
The volunteers offer lifts to help with everyday trips, such as to the shops, the health centre, the library, or further afield if necessary.
It’s easy to use, and it’s FREE*! Just follow these three easy steps:
1. Phone us on 0756 571 2131 at any time and leave a message with your name and number. We will aim to call you back that day to discuss your request. Please give us at least a day’s notice of when you wish to travel.
2. Your driver will contact you to arrange a pickup time so you know who is driving you and what time you should be ready. You will also be given a contact phone number.
3. The driver will collect you from your home and take you where you want to go and back. You can bring a carer, friend or relative with you if you like as long as they are over 18 years old.
