Remembering Together Project

Co-creating Covid Community Memorials

The Remembering Together project – tomorrow at the Hive from 1:30 to 3:30pm.

In 2021, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced Scottish Government would fund a programme of co-created community memorial projects in every local authority in the country. Greenspace Scotland is the organisation delivering this programme, now called Remembering Together, across the country and are working with Resonate Together, an Alloa Charity, delivering Stage 1 community research for Clackmannanshire.

Covid has touched everyone in Scotland and will continue to do so for some time to come. As we pass the second year of the pandemic, Remembering Together will work with communities, artists/creative practitioners and partners across the country to begin a process of co-creating memorials, continuing through 2022 and into 2023.

The Remembering Together project will co-create memorials that will honour the people we have lost, mark what has been lost and changed in our lives and preserve the best of what we have learned and created together during the Covid pandemic.

So, come and join us and share your thoughts, listen to the discussion and see how you want this project to be developed for our communities within Clackmannanshire.
