We have been asked by a representative from the Dollar Golf Course to circulate the following update regarding its use. For further information please see the notice board at the Golf Course.

Dollar Golf Course is now open as a 9 hole course. Please do come and try the course and enjoy the stunning views.

An annual pass is an introductory offer of £150 for unlimited golf. A family pass is £200 and a junior under 18 is £25. A casual 9 holes is £7.50 and 18 holes is £10.

Further details are on the notice board at the golf course.

If you have never played golf before and would like to try then we have some adult and children’s clubs available at The Hive which were kindly donated by the former Dollar Golf Club.

The Dollar Golf Course hope this venture will be well supported.

Consultation on Dollar’s Public Toilets!

After several residents asking us what could be done to provide public toilets in Dollar, the Trust is looking at the feasibility of taking over the ownership and operation of the public toilets located on Burnside. This facility has been out of service for some years.

We now need to make a decision on whether the community would support this action and what the consensus is on the entry charge. It was previously 20p, however at this price the facility would run at a considerable annual loss and other funding would need to be found.
We are considering two possibilities:

• An entry charge of 50p which would make it closer to break-even. We would aim to have an electronic payment method, perhaps in addition to coin operation.
• For it to be funded through community fundraising. We estimate the annual cost is currently about £2,000.
